Tineke Younger, better known as “Chef Tini,” is teaching TikTok how to cook, one viral recipe at a time. Since launching her popular account in 2020, the Georgia-based culinary-school graduate, 24, has been whipping up affordable comfort food like hot-honey chicken tenders, deep-fried deviled eggs, and roasted tomato soup for her 12.5 million followers. “When people ask me, ‘What's your favorite thing to cook?’—it's things that I haven't cooked before,” she says. “You just learn so much.” The former Next Level Chef contestant’s charming, no-fuss, food videos, which often feature her chicken alfredo-loving husband, are tailored to those home cooks looking to “do something that’s out of your comfort zone,” she says. Her most talked-about recipe to date is her signature macaroni and cheese, which she makes with cavatappi pasta—never elbow noodles. Her tutorial went viral in 2024, inspiring strong opinions. (“It’s a lot of cheese,” she says.) This November, Younger will release her second cookbook, Today We Are Cooking…: Recipes That Teach You to Think Like a Chef, which will offer basic tips and tricks to help make cooking more accessible. Her mission is consistent: “I just want people to gain more confidence in the kitchen.” Powered by Whalar Group
