IPOB threatened to institute legal action against News Central Television and several other individuals, including Reno Omokri.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has alleged that there is a coordinated plot to assassinate its imprisoned leader, Nnamdi Kanu, following comments made by a entrepreneur, Chigozie Nnabugwu, during a television programme.
IPOB threatened to institute legal action against News Central Television and several other individuals, including Reno Omokri.
In an internal memo issued on Monday and signed by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, IPOB blasted Nnabugwu for his call for Kanu's extrajudicial killing during his appearance on News Central Television.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that Nnabugwu during an appearance on News Central TV's Breakfast Xtra programme, monitored by SaharaReporters, called on the Nigerian government to execute Kanu, claiming that such a move would restore normalcy in the South-East.
