A 79-year-old Northdale great-grandmother survived a violent home invasion by playing dead.
Premila Sewmungal was alone at home and had just come out of the bathroom when she was accosted by three men, who were already inside her home on Friday.
She said she was “dying with pain” when the intruders tied her up, sat on her, and repeatedly hit her on her face and head.
Her daughter, Sundira Sadave, said Sewmungal was dragged from the passage to her bedroom, before her legs and hands were tied.
