Prime Minister Rumen Radev said Bulgaria should position itself as one of the European Union’s most attractive destinations for investment, emphasizing that the country has the necessary conditions to develop modern industries and strengthen its role in regional connectivity.
Addressing Bulgaria’s ambassadors abroad, Radev said the country should move beyond its traditional role as a transit territory and become a strategic gateway recognized by allies and international partners for transport and energy projects.
According to the prime minister, Bulgaria’s geographic location provides a significant advantage, as it lies at the intersection of all Pan-European transport corridors. He stressed that this potential should be used to attract long-term investments and support sustainable economic growth.
Radev also highlighted the importance of Bulgarian diplomacy, saying diplomatic missions should play an active role in promoting the country and encouraging foreign companies to invest.
“We must make sure that Bulgaria becomes one of the best places in the European Union for investments and for the development of modern high-tech industries,” he said.
