Prohibition and Excise Department officials seized 40.5 kg of dry ganja and arrested three persons in two separate cases during a vehicle checking drive at Rangapuram in Palvancha mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Monday.The contraband was recovered from a car and two motorcycles intercepted ruing the drive conducted on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Khammam Division, V. Somi Reddy, according to a press release.The vehicles were seized and one of the arrested persons is a native of Malkangiri district in Odisha. Further investigation is underway.
