Key Facts
—The Corridor. The SoutH2 Corridor is a planned 3,300-kilometre pipeline network to carry green hydrogen from Algeria to Germany via Tunisia, Italy and Austria.
—The Capacity. Project promoters target a capacity of up to 4 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen per year, with full operation projected around 2030.
—The Partnership. A bilateral hydrogen taskforce was established in February 2024, building on an energy partnership first signed between the two countries in 2015.
