Airline major IndiGo has selected Honeywell Aerospace’s avionics, auxiliary power units (APUs) and long-term aftermarket support for its order of 810 Airbus A320neo family aircraft.The development assumes significance as Honeywell Aerospace has described it as the largest new-aircraft selectable equipment deal in its history.Accordingly, the agreement will see Honeywell Aerospace supply auxiliary power units, weather radar systems, traffic collision avoidance systems, flight management systems and comprehensive aftermarket support across IndiGo’s future fleet.Operational efficiencyThese systems, the aerospace major said, are expected to enhance operational efficiency, flight safety, situational awareness and fuel efficiency across IndiGo’s next-generation narrow-body fleet.The agreement comes as IndiGo accelerates its international expansion and fleet induction programme following its record order for 500 Airbus aircraft placed in 2023 and an additional order for 310 Airbus A320neo family aircraft announced in 2024, taking its total order book to more than 1,300 aircraft.“With one of the industry’s largest future fleet pipelines, IndiGo is effectively contributing to the future of aviation in India and beyond,” Willie Walsh, Chief Executive Officer Designate, IndiGo, said.Published on July 20, 2026
