The Palawan Group of Companies recently held a Thanksgiving Party in honor of its scholars who successfully completed their academic journey this year. This batch produced 120 graduates — with one Magna Cum Laude and 8 Cum Laude — bringing the total number of alumni to 900 since the scholarship program started in 1998. Many of PGC-SP’s alumni are now licensed engineers, educators, certified public accountants, and corporate professionals, with 104 serving in various departments in the company.
120 graduates, each accompanied by a loved one, graced Pagkilala at Pasasalamat Para sa Ating mga Iskolar: the Palawan Group of Companies – Scholarship Program’s tribute and thanksgiving for this year’s graduates
Dubbed Pagkilala at Pasasalamat Para sa Ating mga Iskolar, the day was thoughtfully planned to honor not only their achievements but also the determination and hard work that allowed them to beat the odds, leading them to this important milestone.
The gathering served as a meaningful occasion to recognize the graduates and their families, while reaffirming the Palawan Group’s continuing commitment to empowering Filipino communities through education.
For the Palawan Group of Companies, investing in education goes beyond providing financial assistance but an investment in the country’s future. In his speech, Palawan Group Chairman and Founder Bobby L. Castro remarked: “Education creates opportunities, transforms lives, and uplifts communities. I truly believe that every scholar we support is a key to a better future for the Philippines.” He added, our company actively takes part in nation-building, and we believe education is one of the most powerful ways to make a meaningful impact.
