Tesla Manufacturing Brandenburg SE closed the 2025 financial year with a net profit of €77.1 million, up from €56.8 million the previous year. At the same time, revenue fell from approximately €7.7 billion to €7.1 billion. These figures are taken from the annual report of the German Tesla subsidiary, which has been filed in the German parliamentary electronic lobby register. Production also declined in 2025, when around 202,000 vehicles rolled off production lines in Grünheide, approximately 9,000 fewer than in the previous year. Capacity utilisation dropped from 56% to 54%. These figures have been confirmed by recent reports on the Tesla Manufacturing Brandenburg SE annual report.
According to media reports, the decline in production was partly due to restructuring and model changes. Tesla reconfigured its production lines to prepare for new variants of the Model Y, including the Model Y Performance and an export version for Canada. This reconfiguration led to temporary production stoppages and a subsequent ramp-up phase. Currently, only the Model Y is manufactured in Grünheide. At the end of 2025, around 11,000 people (including temporary workers) were employed at the site.
For 2026, Tesla expects a “significantly higher production volume” and correspondingly greater plant utilisation, according to the annual report. The manufacturer has since outlined more concrete expansion plans to support this forecast, as the company intends to gradually increase production to 7,500 vehicles per week. This would equate to up to 375,000 vehicles per year.
