According to the statement, Ugwoji was arrested in Ahoada, Rivers State, on Tuesday, July 14, after NDLEA operatives allegedly found him in possession of 800 grams of skunk, a strain of cannabis.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of an 80-year-old man, Chika Ugwoji, for alleged drug trafficking in Rivers State.
It also revealed that its operatives had dismantled a suspected drug warehouse in Edo State and arrested a Chadian woman alongside her Nigerian accomplice over a large consignment of tramadol.
The anti-narcotics agency disclosed the arrests in a statement issued on Sunday by its Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, detailing a series of operations carried out across different parts of the country.
