The Edo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress has dissociated itself from the former chairman, Kennedy Odion, who they said has been suspended alongside 10 other members at the party convention on April 14, 2026.
This was contained in a statement on Sunday by the new chairman, Tony Alile, titled “Edo State ADC: Putting the record straight.”
Alile stated that the statement was meant to present the public with the official position of the African Democratic Congress in Edo State and to clarify issues that have generated misinformation and confusion regarding the leadership and status of our great party in the state.
He also cautioned Odion, whom the party maintained no longer has the authority to act or speak on behalf of the ADC, and to call on him to cease any further representation of himself as an official of the party.
He said, “For the avoidance of doubt, the African Democratic Congress in Edo State wishes to state that Kennedy Odion is not recognized by the party as a member or official.
