Four survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence have embarked on a transformative journey through vocational sewing training with Cape Town's Not I But We, a social enterprise.
As they learn essential skills, three graduates transition into paid internships, paving their way to independence and sustainable employment.
The initiative addresses two critical needs faced by survivors: creating safe pathways out of shelters and providing access to dignified work opportunities that support long-term recovery.
Damian Jutzi, Development Manager at Not I But We, said the programme is about more than teaching a skill - it is about helping survivors rebuild their lives.
