Engr. Auta was arraigned before Hon. Justice Chinyere E. Nwecheonwu of High Court No. 43 of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting in Kuje, by the Inspector General of Police on allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.
A former Kaduna South senatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Michael Ayuba Auta, is currently facing a four-count criminal charge over alleged fraud amounting to N179million.
Engr. Auta was arraigned before Hon. Justice Chinyere E. Nwecheonwu of High Court No. 43 of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting in Kuje, by the Inspector General of Police on allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.
According to the charge sheet before the High Court of the FCT, the Inspector General of Police alleges that Auta and his company, KYC Holdings Limited, conspired to obtain N179million from Arodiogbu Enterprises Limited through misrepresentation relating to a parcel of land in Guzape, Abuja.
