The Polish defense industry is unable to fully expand its cooperation with Ukrainian companies due to being overwhelmed by large-scale orders; however, in the long term, such a partnership could become one of the most profitable for Poland.
This was emphasized by former Polish Minister of National Defense Janusz Onyszkiewicz in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to him, the current modest results of cooperation between the Polish and Ukrainian defense industries are primarily due to the production capabilities of the Polish defense industry.
“I fear that the problem lies in a certain inability on the part of the Polish defense industry. The sector is overwhelmed by current orders and is physically unable to simultaneously develop new areas of cooperation,” Onyszkiewicz noted.
At the same time, he pointed out that some Polish private companies are already cooperating with Ukrainian partners and are negotiating the implementation of new joint projects.
