Alibaba Cloud has launched Agent Native Cloud, a new cloud architecture built for AI agents.
The platform was unveiled by Qi Zhou, head of Alibaba Cloud’s Cloud-Native Application Platform, at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2026 in Shanghai on July 18. The launch was first reported by the Shanghai Observer.
Agent Native Cloud includes AgentTeams for orchestrating multiple specialized agents, Agentic Computer for secure cloud-based execution, and a redesigned infrastructure featuring native sandbox environments, strong workload isolation, elastic scaling, and enterprise identity integration.
Alibaba also showcased internal results, where 15 coordinated AI agents now handle 85% of developer support requests, reduce operational support time by 90%, and compress software release cycles to one day. The company argued that the true value of Agent Native lies in creating reusable organizational knowledge, where skills, governance policies, and optimizations continuously improve across the entire agent ecosystem.
According to Zhou, the next phase of competition will not be determined by how many AI agents an organization deploys, but by its ability to transform those agents into controllable, reusable, collaborative, and continuously evolving organizational assets.
