The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), in cooperation with the State Bureau of Investigations and the National Police, has uncovered new attempts to illegally sell weapons and ammunition in Kyiv and several regions.

According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.

As a result of comprehensive operations, law enforcement agencies dismantled seven underground distribution networks for military weapons. Among the items seized from the dealers were over 1,000 kg of explosives, attack drones, grenade launchers, Kalashnikov assault rifles—including the latest Russian AK-12s—as well as an arsenal of combat grenades and ammunition of various calibers.

In particular, a resident of the Mykolaiv region was caught red-handed. It was established that the man had traveled to the capital to sell a shipment of captured weapons that had been illegally removed from the combat zone on the eastern front. He used the garage of an acquaintance in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, to illegally store the weapons.

Another criminal group that was uncovered operated in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. According to the investigation, this group consisted of three local residents who were selling weapons and ammunition illegally removed from frontline areas.
