Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has launched a new mobile application, ‘SoworeNow’, as part of efforts to build a digital platform for political mobilisation, volunteer coordination, fundraising and direct engagement with supporters ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections.
An analysis by SaharaReporters shows that the application, currently at version 1.0.1, is designed as a comprehensive platform enabling supporters to register, receive campaign updates, volunteer for activities, make donations, and access campaign-related information directly from their mobile devices.
The app, branded SoworeNow, which is available for Android and IOS users, is built with a modern React Native framework, allowing it to run on Android and IOS devices while supporting future expansion to other platforms.
