MANILA, Philippines – The National Tobacco Administration (NTA) embarked on its weeklong campaign in key production areas in the Ilocos Region to protect the welfare of local farmers and secure the global competitiveness of Philippine tobacco.
Through the Strategic Tobacco Production Information Campaign (STRATPIC), the NTA encourages local farmers to join in the Tobacco Contract Growing System (TCGS) and coordinate planting area decisions based on actual market demand.
