Consultations in the Office of the President regarding the appointment of the next head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) are still ongoing.

This was announced to journalists by Presidential Communications Adviser Dmytro Lytvyn, Ukrinform reports.

When asked whether a new head of the KCMA could be appointed today, he replied:

"Not today. It's a complicated situation because there are many responsibilities but relatively limited powers, so consultations are continuing to determine who would be capable of handling the role."

Lytvyn also commented on speculation that Oleh Liashko or Ihor Terekhov could become the new head of the KCMA.
