President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that some important personnel decisions in the military have already been finalized and announced that further changes are forthcoming.
According to Ukrinform, the president made this announcement on Facebook following a meeting attended by, among others, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mykhailo Drapatyi, the Chief of the General Staff, Ihor Skybiuk, and the acting Minister of Defense, Yevhenii Khmara.
“We resolved important military issues today. Personnel proposals were discussed. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi, in coordination with Ihor Skybiuk and Yevhenii Khmara, proposed a vision for changes. Some decisions have already been prepared, and more will follow,” Zelensky stated.
He noted that he had discussed the situation on the front lines with military officials and measures to reinforce key sectors, particularly in the Donetsk region.
“I am grateful to all the units achieving tangible results in defending our positions and destroying the occupiers in the Slovyansk, Kostiantynivka, and Dobropillia areas. I am grateful to the units of the Airborne Assault Forces for their active operations in designated areas – we agreed on steps that can provide our troops with greater operational capabilities,” the president noted.
