Apple is suing OpenAI, accusing the AI giant of developing a device that could potentially challenge Apple’s iPhone by stealing its trade secrets through Apple employees.
Apple called OpenAI “rotten to its core” within its 41-page lawsuit, which also accuses Apple former senior system electrical engineer, Chang Liu, and former VP of product design for iPhone and Apple Watch, Tang Yew Tan. Roughly 400 former Apple employees now work for OpenAI, according to the lawsuit.
