Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz is once again at the centre of public attention after singer Zuchu announced that their marriage has come to an end, closing another chapter in the Bongo Flava star's highly publicised love life.
The announcement came days before Diamond paid a heartfelt tribute to his mother, Sandra Kassim, during her birthday celebration, revealing that much of his wealth, including his houses, cars and businesses, is registered under her name.
Speaking at the celebration, the award-winning singer said his mother has been the foundation of his success and that everything he owns belongs to her.
"Changu ni chake," Diamond said, meaning, "What is mine is hers."
He explained that many of his assets are legally registered under his mother's name as a sign of the immense trust and gratitude he has for the woman who stood by him long before fame found him.
