King Misuzulu at the weekend finalised lobola negotiations for his bride Princess, Sihle Mdluli.

Wedding bells are ringing again in the Zulu royal family after amaZulu king Misuzulu kaZwelithini at the weekend finalised lobola negotiations with the family of his fourth wife-to-be, Princess Sihle Mdluli.

Accompanied by senior officials, including the Traditional Prime Minister inkosi Phathisizwe Chiliza, his spokesperson Mpikayise Buthelezi, Private Secretary Arnold Ndamase and regiments, the king travelled to Nkomazi village in Mpumalanga where he showered gifts (umembeso) on Mdluli's family and completed the process with 70 cattle for the bride.

The king’s spokesperson Mpikayise Buthelezi said after the lobola negotiations, both families agreed to prepare for a wedding which is expected to take place by the end of the year.

“We received a warm welcome by the bride’s family in Mpumalanga and we paid 70 cattle because she is a princess. Now we are focusing on the preparations for the wedding,” said Buthelezi.
