The Ukrainian government has approved a resolution establishing a clear procedure for the mandatory evacuation of children from areas of active or potential hostilities when they are not accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity announced the decision.
"The adopted resolution will enable the state to act quickly and in a coordinated manner during critical situations. It establishes a clear framework for cooperation among all relevant services to ensure that every child threatened by the war is evacuated in time, receives the necessary protection and assistance, and is placed in a safe environment," the ministry said.
The resolution defines the procedure for mandatory evacuation by guardianship authorities in cooperation with the National Police, introduces the legal term "evacuated child," and regulates the child's subsequent care after evacuation.
After being removed from a dangerous area, each child will undergo a medical examination, have their needs assessed, and receive the necessary support.
