Bologna has reached an agreement to sign left-back Rahim Alhassane from Real Oviedo in a permanent transfer worth €3.5 million. The deal moves the 24-year-old Niger international from Spain’s Segunda División to Italy’s Serie A. His market value has been estimated between €1.5 million and €1.8 million.
The deal and the player
Abdel Rahim Alhassane Bonkano, known simply as Rahim Alhassane, was born on January 1, 2002, in Abuja, Nigeria. He represents the Niger national football team at the international level.
The defender signed a three-year contract with Real Oviedo in July 2024, a deal running through June 2028. That means Oviedo had significant leverage in negotiations, with two full years remaining on the contract when Bologna came calling.
Reports from July 16, 2026, initially described the potential move in two configurations: a loan with an obligation to buy at €3.5 million, or a straight permanent transfer at €4 million. The final structure landed on the permanent transfer at the €3.5 million mark.
