Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Tamil Nadu Industries and Investment Promotion Minister S. Keerthana are expected to address the third edition of the Young Indians (Yi), a two-day national summit beginning in Madurai on July 17 at The Residency Signature.The Young Indians, an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will host the YiFi 2026 under the theme, ‘entrepreneurship beyond boundaries’.Speaking to media persons, CII Yi national chairman Arun Rathod said that the two-day event would discuss on building billion-dollar businesses, building start-ups and Artificial Intelligence - its merits and demerits and among others.Apart from the two ministers, CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee, CII southern region Chairman P. Ravichandran, vice-chairman J. Murugavel, and among others will address the delegates in different sessions.Mr. Rathod said the summit, has been designed to empower entrepreneurs with practical knowledge on capital markets, financial strategies, governance, investment opportunities and sustainable business growth.He said, the future of Indian entrepreneurship would not be defined by a few metropolitan cities alone and thus location such as Madurai and hundreds of emerging cities across the country would decide on it. Through YiFi 2026, the Young Indians aims to create opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect, innovate and build enterprises that contribute to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, Mr. Rathod added.National chair entrepreneurship Namrata Bhatt said that the summit, which was to be attended by over 600 entrepreneurs, family business leaders, next generation successors and investors representing 71 Young Indians chapters across the nation would pave way for new insights. The summit would be a platform to exchange ideas and facilitate build professional relationships.Tamil Nadu, which is one of the fastest growing economy in the country, with a 10 % growth, has huge potential not only in textile and traditional sectors, but also in IT, electronics and automobiles, they responded to a query and added that Madurai was the first city (Tier-2) to host the national summit next to Kolkata and Mumbai in the past.The Young Indians, Ms. Namrata Bhatt said that they were preparing students from schools to become entrepreneurs, innovators through mentorship programmes. The job fairs are also being held by the Yi chapters to give offers to the budding technocrats and among other graduates.Madurai Young Indians chapter chair Vikranth Karmegam, co-chair entrepreneurship Anind Ben Roy and Kavita Kohli and among others participated.
