The Young Indians (Yi) Tiruchi Chapter conducted a two-day mock Parliament session, Young Indians Parliament 2026, for students.The district-level round was organised under Thalir, Yi’s school outreach programme. The event marked the culmination of a three-month selection and training process that began with nearly 700 student applicants from across Tiruchi. After multiple rounds of screening, 130 students were selected and underwent two months of mentoring and parliamentary training before participating in the mock session.Students, who excelled in the Tiruchi chapter round, will advance to the regional round in Erode next month. The top performers from the regional competition will qualify for the national finals in New Delhi, where finalists will get an opportunity to visit Parliament.Durai Vaiko, Member of Parliament, Tiruchi; Sashank Mothi, Chapter Chair of Yi Tiruchi, Pradeep, National Chair of Thalir, CII Young Indians; and Shenher Lal, Regional Mentor, Thalir SRTN, were present.
