MANDELA Day reminds us to serve others. But integrity is revealed in the choices we make every other day of the year.
Every year, as Mandela Day approaches, we are reminded to dedicate 67 minutes of our time in service of others. Schools organise food drives. Businesses paint classrooms. Families donate clothing and blankets.
These acts of kindness matter. But perhaps Mandela Day asks something even more of us. Perhaps Mandela's greatest lesson was never about 67 minutes of service. Perhaps it was about a lifetime of integrity.
Integrity is not reserved for extraordinary moments.
