Veteran South African actor and theatre icon Seputla Sebogodi has died following complications related to diabetes, his family confirmed on Thursday.
In a statement, the family said Sebogodi passed away on the evening of Wednesday, July 15, and appealed for privacy as they come to terms with their loss.
"The immediate family of Seputla Sebogodi confirms, with profound sadness, his passing on the evening of 15 July 2026 following complications related to diabetes," the statement read.
The family described Sebogodi as one of South Africa's most accomplished performers, whose contribution to the country's theatre and television industries spanned decades.
