The Code of Conduct will establish ethical standards and expectations for all Hindu religious, spiritual, cultural, and community leaders.

THE South African Hindu Maha Sabha (SAHMS) invites members of the public, religious leaders, devotees, community organisations, professionals, and other interested stakeholders to review and provide comments on the Draft Code of Conduct for Hindu Leaders in South Africa.

As Hindu leaders serving diverse South African communities, we pledge allegiance to the eternal principles of Dharma (righteousness), Satya (truth), Ahimsa (non-violence), Seva (selfless service), and Respect for Human Dignity, as enshrined in Sacred Scriptures.

We recognise our responsibility to provide spiritual guidance, promote social harmony, preserve Hindu heritage, and contribute positively to the constitutional democracy and multicultural diversity of South Africa.
