A Delhi Traffic Police head constable was killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle while on duty at the Singhu border on Wednesday evening, the police said.The victim, identified as Amit, was regulating traffic at around 6 p.m. when the incident occurred. He sustained critical injuries and was taken to Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Narela, where he was declared brought dead, a senior police officer said.The vehicle fled the spot after the collision. The police said it has been identified and a search operation is under way to trace the driver.A case has been registered and further investigation is in progress.
