A scene from 'Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea'.
Imagine booking a luxury cruise, packing your best evening outfits and mentally preparing to spend your days by the pool with a questionable cocktail in hand … only for the holiday to end with you climbing down the side of a ship in the dark.
It sounds like the plot of a disaster movie, except "Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea" reminds us that this was very real for more than 4 000 people.
The Netflix documentary revisits the 2012 Costa Concordia disaster and somehow manages to make a story many people already know feel just as shocking all over again.
Even if you’ve watched documentaries about the incident before, this one pulls you straight back into the confusion, fear and disbelief through real footage and the voices of the people who were there.
