Toll collection at Ilavankulam toll plaza on the greefield Vadipatti-Thamaraipatti fourway highway began on Wednesday.A notification from NHAI said that cars, jeeps, vans or light motor vehicles would have to pay ₹55 for single journey to cross the 30-km stretch of highway that would provide direct link between Tiruchi highway with Dindigul highway.The fee for return journey for those vehicles within 24 hours is ₹85.The fee for other vehicles: light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicle or mini bus is ₹90 and ₹140 for a return trip; for bus and trucks with two axles is ₹190 and ₹290; for three axle commercial vehicles is ₹210 and ₹315.The toll fee for heavy construction machinery or earth moving equipment or multi axle vehicle is ₹300 and ₹450 for a return trip and for oversized vehicles the fee is ₹365 and ₹550.All these vehicles can also get monthly passes for 50 single trips.
