Highway Infrastructure Limited (HIL) on Friday announced it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a toll operations contract valued at ₹28.69 crore. The Indore-based company will manage fee collection at the Kozhinjipatti Fee Plaza on the Dindigul–Samayanallur section of NH-44 in Tamil Nadu.The contract, spanning 90 days, covers toll collection operations, upkeep and maintenance of adjacent facilities, and replenishment of consumable items. NH-44 is India’s longest national highway, and the fee plaza serves passenger, freight, and tourism traffic connecting Madurai and southern Tamil Nadu.The company’s stock showed little movement on the NSE. Shares of HIL, listed under the symbol HILINFRA, were trading at ₹44.00 as of 12.21 pm on Friday, up a marginal 0.05 per cent from the previous close of ₹43.98. Traded volume stood at 0.15 lakh shares with a traded value of ₹0.06 crore, indicating thin activity. The stock’s market capitalisation stood at ₹315.57 crore.The counter has seen significant erosion over the past year, trading sharply below its 52-week high of ₹131.40 touched in August 2025, and only marginally above its 52-week low of ₹40.60 hit in March 2026. Year-to-date, the stock is down nearly 24 per cent against the NIFTY IPO index’s gain of over 11 per cent in the same period.Managing Director Arun Kumar Jain said the award strengthens the company’s toll collection portfolio and expands its geographic presence in South India.Incorporated in 2006 and listed on exchanges in August 2025, HIL operates across 12 states and one Union Territory. The company’s operations span toll collection, EPC infrastructure projects, and real estate.
