Dive into the heart of Cape Town's culinary scene at Food Indaba 2026, where sustainability meets tradition in a celebration of water, wellness, and community spirit!
The muscle memory of Day Zero never truly left us. Every Capetonian knows exactly what it feels like to look at a running tap with a tiny flicker of anxiety. But this winter, our relationship with the water that keeps us alive is moving from our taps straight onto our plates.
Honouring the spirit of Mandela Day and our shared ethos of Ubuntu, Cape Town’s annual Food Indaba is returning from July 20 to August 2. Hosted by the SA Urban Food & Farming Trust, this isn’t a series of dry academic lectures.
It is a breaking, hyper-local sustainable food showcase featuring 17 immersive events across the Mother City.
From immersive walking tours to hands-on cooking workshops, Food Indaba 2026 invites you to discover the hidden gems of Cape Town's food culture while championing sustainability and community resilience!
