There is a table in Cape Town that takes six weeks to book. This November, the same kitchen will hand you its signature dish in about four minutes.
This is according to the organisers of the Taste of Cape Town, the two-day food and lifestyle festival arriving at Green Point Cricket Club on November 28 and 29, 2026.
In a statement the organisers said: “One ticket buys entry to a ground where twelve of the city's hardest reservations cook side by side in the open, with eleven hours of trading each day to taste your way through them. No waiting list. No kitchen door. The chef finishes your plate an arm's length from where you stand.”
The Taste series has filled grounds in more than 13 cities, from London to Paris, Sao Paulo and Dubai, and it arrives in Cape Town under the exclusive South African licence held by The Allure Group through IMG.
