The show included football debates, a live brass band playing football tunes, footballer lookalikes, an interview with a real-life witch to predict the score and a chat with the 'The Three Lions' mascots who have been supporting England during their matches in the crowd.Viewers were quick to take to Twitter, now X, to share their thoughts, arguing that there was too much football coverage and they wanted regular news as well.One person said: "I wonder how many viewers they’ve lost with the huge amount of football overkill they’ve been ramming down our throats throughout the summer #thismorning."A different account put: "Can they not go 5 minutes without mentioning the b****y football #thismorning", another wrote: "Ok if this is going to be all about England Im done over kill #thismorning" with a different account putting: "Ok so this is too much now! #thismorning!"Elsewhere, another fan put: "More football nonsense!!#Thismorning!" to which a different viewer wrote: "Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I can't wait for all this World Cup c**p to end #thismorning" while another person added: "STOP! Just STOP! #thismorning".It comes as England are two wins away from bringing football home.
