Not just by day, but by night as well."The GMB star told viewers this upcoming heatwave is set to be more prolonged than the ones people have seen previously.‌Later on, Ravir Singh said: "Amber heat health alerts across large parts of England come into effect from nine o'clock this Morning."Retail experts have told Good Morning Britain that they are expecting a spike in sales, after they say recent figures show the May heatwave drove a surge in outdoor and summer goods and food sales."Informing people watching that the weather could last for as long as two weeks, she then headed over to Nick Dixon, who was reporting live from Selsey, asking him how people were going to cope.‌He replied: "It is going to go on a little bit longer, potentially into early next week, but it will. If you're hoping for some good news here, it will be just a fraction cooler but still potentially 35 36 Celsius over the next 48 hours."However, it looks as though viewers aren't thrilled with how much the weather is being spoken about on the programme, with many airing their thoughts online.‌One person on social media said, "Do you think we are all stupid? It's 10 days of sunshine, give us a break, and those temperatures you keep banging on about are down south."Another added: "Stop this heatwave after heatwave nonsense.
