The youths said the allegations contained in the video should not be ignored, warning that the continued silence surrounding the matter has raised concerns about the safety of residents and the commitment of the police to tackling crime.

The Nigeria Police Force, Enugu State Command, has been urged by youths under the aegis of Enugu Youths for Change to investigate a viral video involving an indigene of the state who alleged that he was reportedly shot by a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the state.

The youths said the allegations contained in the video should not be ignored, warning that the continued silence surrounding the matter has raised concerns about the safety of residents and the commitment of the police to tackling crime.

In a statement signed by the group's Coordinator, Barr. Nnamani Ejiofor, and made available to journalists in Enugu on Tuesday, the group said a video showing a man whose identity has yet to be established has been circulating on various social media platforms, with claims that he was shot by the NDC chieftain.

Ejiofor said preliminary observations of the location captured in the video suggested that the incident allegedly occurred at the residence of the NDC chieftain on Flamengo Street, Trans Ekulu Estate, also known as Zoo Estate.
