A 52-year-old man has been charged with the intentional murder of his 53-year-old partner following a fatal incident in the town of Karlovo, the Plovdiv District Prosecutor’s Office announced.
According to prosecutors, the crime took place on July 12 and is being investigated as a homicide committed in the context of domestic violence under the Bulgarian Criminal Code.
Investigators established that the man and the victim had been living together in a house in Karlovo for several months before the incident.
On the day of the crime, the couple was at home when an argument broke out between them. The dispute escalated into violence, and the man allegedly assaulted the woman, who later died from her injuries.
Initial information indicates that both had consumed alcohol before the confrontation.
