Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, on Tuesday commissioned the reconstructed Modibo Adama Modern Market in Yola Town as part of efforts to boost commercial activities and increase the state’s internally generated revenue.
The contract for the reconstruction of the Yola Town Market was awarded last year at a cost of ₦2.98bn to an indigenous construction company.
Speaking during the commissioning, the governor said the project was proof that his administration fulfils its promises to the people.
“Last year, we visited this scene; we saw the pain, we felt the loss, and we made a promise not only to rebuild the market but also to provide traders with a befitting modern market,” he said.
