MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has begun talks with the Israel Customs Directorate on a deal to speed customs clearance and provide trade benefits to accredited exporters and importers from both countries.

In a statement on Monday, the BOC said it signed a joint action plan with the Israel Customs Directorate on July 13, launching talks on an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).

The joint action plan maps out the timeline, activities, and responsibilities for negotiations and the agreement’s implementation.
