As of the morning of July 14, Russian attacks left consumers without electricity in seven regions of Ukraine, while 72 settlements in three regions remained without power due to severe weather.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's state power grid operator Ukrenergo announced this on Facebook.
"As a result of Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling, new power outages were recorded this morning in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Chernihiv, and Donetsk regions. Emergency repair crews are already carrying out restoration work wherever the security situation permits," the statement said.
Thunderstorms and strong winds also left 72 settlements in the Ternopil, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions fully or partially without electricity. Regional power distribution companies are repairing damaged power lines.
Electricity consumption as of 09:30 on Tuesday was 2.2% higher than on the previous day. Ukrenergo attributed the increase to cloudy weather across most regions, which reduced the output of household solar power systems, as well as to higher air temperatures.
