Reliance Jio has strengthened its position in Kerala during May 2026 by recording the highest growth in active mobile subscribers (VLR), reflecting strong customer engagement and network usage across the state.According to the latest telecom subscriber data, Jio’s active subscriber base in Kerala increased from 1.01 crore VLR units (101.70 lakh) in April to 1.05 crore VLR units (105.06 lakh) in May, adding 3.36 lakh active subscribers during the month. This represents the highest incremental addition in the State’s active subscriber base. The company’s active subscriber market share also improved from 24.22 per cent in April to 24.74 per cent in May.Jio also registered growth in its overall subscriber base (CMS) in Kerala, increasing from 111.16 lakh subscribers in April to 111.44 lakh in May.The company’s home subscriber base in Kerala increased from 628080 in April to 634165 in May, adding 6085 subscribers during the month. This represents 29.2 per cent market share of home connections in Kerala.The growth in VLR (Visitor Location Register) subscribers is considered a key indicator of customer engagement, as it reflects the number of subscribers actively using the network. The improvement underscores Jio’s continued focus on enhancing network quality and delivering reliable connectivity across urban and rural Kerala.Industry data for May 2026 shows that Kerala’s wireless subscriber base remained stable while active subscriber numbers increased, indicating higher network usage and customer activity during the month, said a press release.Published on July 14, 2026
