He vowed that Washington would use every available tool to dismantle what he described as the court's threat to U.S. sovereignty.

The United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio has escalated the Donald Trump administration's confrontation with the International Criminal Court (ICC), declaring that no international tribunal has the authority to prosecute Americans.

He vowed that Washington would use every available tool to dismantle what he described as the court's threat to U.S. sovereignty.

Rubio made the remarks in a video statement posted on his verified X account on Monday, hours after the U.S. Department of State announced a "whole-of-government" campaign aimed at weakening the ICC through diplomatic pressure, sanctions, visa restrictions and other measures

In the video, Rubio accused the Hague-based court and its supporters of attempting to undermine the American legal system through international law.
