A prosecution witness in the ongoing trial of former Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku, on Monday told a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja that about N1.8billion allegedly meant for the purchase of Christmas grains was paid into his company's account and later withdrawn in cash on the instructions of senior government officials.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is prosecuting the two defendants on a 15-count charge bordering on alleged criminal breach of trust, conspiracy, and diversion of public funds amounting to N27 billion.
However, the former governor and the former permanent secretary denied the allegations.
