A woman was shot dead in a shocking incident in Durban North, prompting a police investigation into murder and attempted murder.
Police have launched a murder and attempted murder investigation following a shooting on Sunday afternoon that left a 42-year-old woman dead and shocked the Parkhill community in Greenwood Park, Durban.
The woman was inside her vehicle on Blackburn Road at the time of the shooting. A young child who was also in the car escaped with minor physical injuries.
On Monday, authorities were still working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident as investigations continued.
KwaZulu-Natal SAPS spokesperson Captain Ntathu Ndlovu told the Daily News that the woman's body was discovered inside her vehicle after she sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
