The Director General of the Energy Management and Customer Planning Office at Tavanir (Iran’s Power Generation, Distribution, and Transmission Company) has announced the commencement of scheduled rolling blackouts across the country.
Speaking on a television program, Abdolamir Yaghoubi stated that notifications regarding potential electricity restrictions are provided two days prior to implementation. Accordingly, the schedule for projected power outages has been finalized through Wednesday.
The Tavanir official did not provide further details regarding the cause of the resumed blackouts or the exact extent of the power restrictions.
Previously, Arman Khaleqi, the Director General of the House of Industry, Mine, and Trade, had announced that power supply restrictions for industrial units had increased to two days per week. He added that these restrictions were expected to extend into the evening and midnight hours, mirroring the patterns observed last year.
