Springboks outside centre Jesse Kriel could be up for a deserved break when they take on Wales this Saturday after two strong performances against England and Scotland.

Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus is set to make more changes to his side for the third and final mid-year Nations Championship Test against Wales in Durban this coming Saturday.

Following another impressive victory over Scotland at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, the world champions again underlined their strength and versatility by defeating a strong Scottish side 42-28 with a much-changed team.

Despite the strategic personnel changes and limited continuity, the Boks’ power and squad depth proved the difference against the Scots, with a dominant second-half surge sealing the Test. It also ensured the Springboks remain unbeaten on home soil against the visitors.

Now, a wounded Wales side head to the East Coast for the third match of the inaugural tournament, giving Erasmus another opportunity to rotate his squad and hand more players valuable game time.
