The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Katung, has welcomed the re-nomination of Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election, describing the decision as a reward for loyalty, competence and dedicated service.
Katung said Tinubu’s decision to retain Shettima reflected his confidence in the VP’s leadership qualities and contributions to the implementation of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The lawmaker made the remarks in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Midat Joseph.
According to Katung, Shettima has remained a dependable partner to the President by providing “steady support and valuable counsel” in the administration of the country over the past three years.
He said, “The re-nomination is a clear testament to Vice President Shettima’s loyalty, competence and unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.
